HOW MANY HOURS PER WEEK CAN I EXPECT TO WORK IN STORE?

You can choose from different types of work schedules. Be sure to specify which schedule you prefer when you apply. You are guaranteed to work the number of hours listed below:

Full time:37.5 hours per week or 40 hours per week
Short time:25 hours per week
Part time:Between 10 and 15 hours per week

CAN I APPLY AT MORE THAN ONE STORE?

Yes. However, since hiring periods can vary from store to store, it's best to apply to the location(s) where you prefer to work.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO APPLY?

You can apply throughout the year. However, the holiday season is an opportune time for hiring. For a position during this period, we recommend that you apply between September and November.

WHEN I APPLY, AM I CERTAIN TO HAVE AN INTERVIEW?

We appreciate receiving applications year-round. Due to the considerable volume of applications, we are unfortunately not able to interview each and every candidate. However, we assure you that we review and consider each application. Applications are kept confidential and will be considered over a period of three months.

WHAT ARE THE EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR A MANAGEMENT POSITION?

For most management positions at Simons, a bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience is required. We recommend that you attach a copy of your university transcript to your résumé.

The buying team is based at our head office in the heart of Old Quebec (Quebec City). They travel to the world's fashion capitals, like New York City, Paris, London, Milan, and Los Angeles, looking for the latest trends and the most exclusive products for our customers.

WHERE IS THE SIMONS HEAD OFFICE LOCATED?

Since 1870, our head office has been located on the upper floors of our store in the heart of Old Quebec at 20 Côte de la Fabrique in Quebec City.

CAN WE SIGN UP FOR DENTAL INSURANCE?

Eligible employees can join our dental insurance program, which provides 90% reimbursement for dental care. Spouses and children of our employees are also welcome to enroll.

REGISTERED RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN (RRSP)

The Simons RRSP is full of options and possibilities to assist our employees in planning for their financial future. Employees can contribute as little as 2% of their salary or as much as their legal contribution limit. They can also modify their contribution rates at any time during their career as their personal needs change. Employees determine their investment plan and can change it at any time. They can also use their RRSP funds to purchase a home under the HBP (Home Buyers Plan).

SIMONS DEFERRED PROFIT SHARING PLAN (DPSP)

When you contribute to a Simons RRSP,  Simons makes weekly contributions to employees' DPSP account. The contribution is between 2% and 6% of the employee's salary depending on the number of years of service. Employees determine their investment plan and can change it at any time.
