Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations at the Processing Centre, the incumbent will work closely with the members of their team and provide them with assistance, support, and guidance. The employee will foster an atmosphere of respect and mutual support. They will work with the other directors at the Campus to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate transportation agreement renewals and transportation management contracts.
- Guide the company in its efforts to reduce transport-related greenhouse gas emissions.
- Develop and implement the supplier control process.
- Forecast, plan, and prioritize work for the entire department, based on volume.
- Establish the budget plan for the Transportation department and perform periodic follow-ups.
- Supervise, coordinate, coach, and advise team members on departmental priorities and decisions to make.
- Help develop and optimize the team members' logistics operations management skills through ongoing training.
- Participate in everyone's professional growth to maintain a healthy and harmonious work environment that reflects the company's values and mission.
Requirements:
- Have excellent communication skills and be a great team player.
- Have extensive knowledge of logistics.
- Be rigorous and meticulous.

- Continuously look for innovative areas for improvement.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Operations Management or Logistics, or other relevant degree, and five to seven years of work experience.
- Be proficient with the Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Demonstrate a knack for technological tools.
- Fluently speak and write in English and French to communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and all employees across the country.
