Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Information Technology Officer, the incumbent of the new Senior Solutions Architect role will work closely with the various internal partners. The architect will support the organization by actively participating in the technological transformation program. The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to defining, creating, and monitoring the implementation of business architectures, as well as designing, integrating, and tracking the enterprise architecture’s solutions, applications, and data that will be targeted.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the documentation of the future solution architecture by defining the targets for the solutions, integration, and data architecture of the different systems and technologies in an on-premises and cloud hybrid environment.
- Take part in finalizing guidelines, standards, and development practices by being involved in regular project portfolio activities and the work of the transformation program.
- Analyze how potential solutions are adequate by considering existing IT systems and emerging needs for the future.
- Participate in business process transformation and analysis workshops, as well as application demonstrations via the technological transformation program’s RFP processes or others.
- Position solutions by considering the various technological and human constraints.
- Work with other IT teams to ensure a unified and coherent approach of the strategy.
Requirements:
- Have a university degree or work experience relevant to the position.
- Have at least ten (10) years of experience in the information technology field with expertise in IT system operation and strategy development in a large company. Any experience with retail-specific systems and technologies will be considered an asset.
- Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and rigour when performing your duties.
- Be able to analyze issues in a logical, systematic, and sequential way.
- Be open to change and evolving work methods.
- Be skilled in building and developing effective business relationships.
- Be able to speak and write in English and French to communicate effectively with French- and English-speaking stakeholders and to work on projects, systems, and tools in English.
