Promenades Gatineau - Gatineau, Québec

An inviting environment with a gourmet café where you'll always feel welcome

Gatineau, our tenth store, opened on August of 2015. The Simons family's Scottish heritage was the inspiration behind this store's architectural design. To make the exterior resemble a piece of Prince of Wales fabric, the iconic plaid pattern was carved into the store's white concrete façade and then highlighted with green lines. Inside, different colours and unique materials mark out each department, creating warm and welcoming spaces that are harmoniously “woven” together. The main work of art, Morphodynamique, is by Julie Tremblay, a Quebec native. This impressive aluminium mesh sculpture appears to overflow from the store's central light shaft. And, for the first time, Simons introduces its exclusive café, Ève, which serves a delicious menu of gourmet meals.
