Senior Project Manager - IT

As the Information Technology Project Manager, your primary mission is to coordinate Simons teams and external partners to deliver the expected business benefit of the organization’s projects. You ensure full project management, from definition to business solution deployment. Reporting to the Director of the Delivery Office, you are primarily assigned to the digital transformation program. You help business owners with planning, execution, production start-up, handover to operational teams, and project follow-up, while complying with timelines, budgets, and the established quality standards. You play a critical role in the success of the company’s technology initiatives by working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects’ success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan all phases of technology projects by ensuring resources, timelines, and the budget are managed optimally and rigorously.
• Clearly identify project objectives, deliverables, and requirements with relevant stakeholders.
• Regularly monitor the project’s progress and take proactive steps to resolve potential issues and barriers.
• Facilitate communication between the technical and functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment of objectives.
• Identify project risks and work with stakeholders to develop appropriate mitigation plans to minimize negative impacts on the project’s success.
• Ensure all key business requirements have unit, functional, integration, and end-use test plans.
• Prepare detailed project reports, including analyses of variances, recommendations, and lessons learned, to inform Management and stakeholders on the project’s status.
• Organize follow-up meetings and project reviews to obtain validations to ensure effective expectations management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related questions by quickly responding to concerns and recommending effective solutions to problems encountered.

Desired Profile:
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, or any other related field.
• Have at least eight (8) years of experience managing business solution projects.
• Have proven expertise in technology project management with a demonstrated ability to successfully deliver complex projects within budget and on time.
• Have advanced team coordination skills, with experience in managing multidisciplinary groups.
• Have the skills to positively influence and engage project team members.
• Be a team player and able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Have in-depth knowledge of traditional project management methodologies.
• Know the Agile management framework.
• Have excellent knowledge of Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project.
• Hold Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications, an asset.
• Be fluent in English and French, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
