Discover the significance of the action in computer systems in our IT team as a System Administrator. This role is critical to strengthening our commitment to technological innovation.

Reporting to the Director of Service, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Compliance, you are responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing IT systems and networks within the organization. You work closely with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of the computer infrastructure. Your role will be to ensure that the systems’ configuration meets business needs and is aligned with the organization’s technology directions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software.
• Manage data backups and retrievals to ensure information security and integrity.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• In collaboration with internal stakeholders, coordinate technical problem resolution with the external suppliers’ technical support centres.
• Help plan and implement IT projects such as new software deployment and infrastructure upgrades.
• Be up to date with relevant trends and technological developments in system administration.

Desired Profile:
• Hold a DCS in Computer Science or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Have at least two (2) years of experience in a similar role.
• Be very knowledgeable of operating systems (Windows, Linux), backup technologies, VMware, network technologies, and storage area network (SAN).
• Have programming and scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, etc.).
• Hold the certification in relevant technologies (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.), an asset.
• Be able to independently manage tasks while meeting deadlines and priorities.
• Be able to quickly diagnose IT problems and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Be fluent in English and French, both written and spoken, in order to use systems and tools, and to perform various tasks in English.
