Learning and Development Designer – Temporary Assignment
Quebec
Campus Simons
Full time
This is a three-month fixed-term position.
At La Maison Simons, we believe that training can (and should) be a space for innovation, creativity, and the cultivation of curiosity.
We are looking for an Learning and Development Designer who is eager to push the boundaries of traditional online learning and imagine learning journeys that inspire, engage, and transform. You will join a passionate team exploring how design, technology, and the art of storytelling can redefine the way people learn.
An opportunity to create, test, and innovate, and to see your ideas come to life in a dynamic and bold environment.
A chance to contribute to projects that have a real impact on the learning culture and talent development at La Maison Simons.
Main responsibilities
You will design, prototype, and adapt various training materials (presentations, online modules, microlearning activities) to create immersive and engaging learning experiences. In collaboration with subject matter experts and internal teams, you will craft dynamic learning paths and engaging narratives that enhance motivation and knowledge retention. You will propose innovative, visually compelling approaches to optimize training impact, measure effectiveness, and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement.
Desired profile
- Curiosity and creativity: You enjoy exploring and rethinking the ways people learn. Bringing ideas to life that inspire and leave a lasting impression is at the heart of your approach.
 - Rigor and imagination guide your approach: you navigate easily between different structures, methodologies (ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, Bloom, Kolb, Knowles), and creative freedom.
 - Strong command of French and English: You can easily adapt your ideas and messages to diverse audiences and formats — from coast to coast.
 - Writing and visual communication skills: You know how to connect words, images, and storytelling to build cohesive and meaningful learning journeys where design and content work hand in hand.
 - Analytical mindset and aesthetic sense: You notice the details that turn an idea into an experience, balancing clarity, emotion, and impact.
 - Digital fluency: Comfortable with tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe, Canva, and Microsoft 365, you use technology as a lever for expression and innovation in learning.
