Under the supervision of the Director of Solution Architecture & Software Engineering, the Software Development Team Lead coordinates the daily activities of the development team and actively contributes to the delivery of solutions. The Team Lead ensures work prioritization, adherence to deadlines, and acts as a liaison between the technical team, the quality assurance team, and various business stakeholders. The Team Lead also actively participates in development activities on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and prioritize the team’s work
- Participate in development activities and code reviews
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and best practices
- Collaborate with the Solutions Architect to maintain technical consistency
- Work closely with the SRE and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure deployment and operational readiness of developed solutions
- Maintain a realistic and up-to-date delivery schedule
- Monitor progress and adjust priorities as needed
- Identify and manage risks and obstacles
- Gather and clarify requirements with stakeholders
- Communicate progress status and issues
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment
- Develop and support web applications and integration services
- Produce estimates and prototypes
Desired Profile
- Minimum of two (2) years of corporate experience in a role related to Java application development
- Experience in coordination or technical leadership
- Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English, verbally and in writing, in order to collaborate with French- and English-speaking stakeholders and work on projects, systems, and tools in English
- Ability to manage priorities and work in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, REST APIs, and microservices architecture, with experience using Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Maven, JUnit, Git, Postman, and DevOps practices.
