Quality Assurance Lead – Textile

This is a one-year fixed-term position based at our head office in the heart of Old Quebec.

The objective of the Product Quality Manager is to ensure the highest quality standards for our textile and home products, ensuring that they meet our requirements in order to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Through strategic and operational leadership, this person plays a key role in the ongoing improvement of our quality standards.

They oversee the development, implementation, and evolution of quality standards and processes for our textile and home products at every stage of the product life cycle, from initial development to in-store delivery, while emphasizing rigor, continuous improvement, customer experience, and risk prevention.

They support the team in addressing quality issues, analyzing complaints, and implementing sustainable corrective actions. Finally, they serve as an internal reference for regulatory compliance matters related to our exclusive collections and ensure strong, responsible, and collaborative relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Define, update, and deploy quality standards, manuals, and testing protocols to internal teams and suppliers.
  • Monitor quality KPIs, propose corrective actions, and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes based on customer feedback and industry best practices.
  • Oversee product inspections, supplier audits, and product risk assessments.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (safety, labeling, performance) and coordinate corrective measures when needed.
  • Analyze customer returns and product-related issues to implement sustainable solutions with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to assess their quality performance and promote alignment with Simons’ standards.
  • Collaborate with members of the compliance team to ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding chemical products, social and environmental compliance, and contribute to updating internal policies (code of conduct, material policy, etc.). 

Desired Profile 

  • University degree in sustainability, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in quality assurance or sourcing, preferably in fashion or home product sectors. 
  • Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written, to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders. 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
