Quality Assurance Lead – Textile

This is a one-year fixed-term position based at our head office in the heart of Old Quebec. 

Driven by a passion for materials, products, and the world of fashion, the Product Quality Manager – Textiles plays a central role in ensuring the compliance, durability, and excellence of the textile products and home goods in our exclusive collections.

 Through strong strategic and operational leadership, this person acts as a key pillar in the continuous improvement of our quality standards. 

As a subject-matter expert, they oversee the development, implementation, and evolution of quality standards and processes for all our textile and home products, at every stage of the product lifecycle, from initial development to in-store delivery. Their work is grounded in rigour, risk prevention, continuous improvement, and an unwavering focus on the customer experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Define, update, and implement quality standards specific to textile products and home goods—including quality manuals and testing protocols—for internal teams and suppliers.
  • Oversee the analysis of quality indicators (KPIs) related to materials, fabrics, manufacturing processes, and textile performance; propose corrective actions and ensure their implementation.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of textile quality processes and home products in alignment with strategic priorities and customer feedback.
  • Supervise quality inspections, supplier audits, and risk assessments related to fibres, fabrics, finishes, and cutting and manufacturing processes. 
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for textile products and home goods, and coordinate corrective measures when discrepancies arise.
  • Manage the analysis of customer returns and implement sustainable solutions in collaboration with internal teams. 
  • Work with suppliers to assess quality performance and strengthen their commitment to Simons’ standards.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure adherence to chemical regulations, social and environmental compliance, and contribute to updates of internal policies (code of conduct, material policy, etc.). 

Desired Profile 

  • University degree in sustainability, supply chain, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality assurance, sourcing, product development, or engineering within the textile, fashion, or home goods sector.
  • Strong understanding of fibres, fabrics, manufacturing techniques, material testing, and textile product development cycles.
  • Proven experience in supplier audits, quality control, and compliance management in an international context.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical rigour, attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously. 
  • Strong command of French and English, spoken and written, to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Availability for international travel.
